Merry Christmas to you all,

 

What an exciting end to the first term in Year 1! The children were absolutely amazing in their Christmas production of 'Angel Express.' They all thoroughly enjoyed dancing to and singing the songs and I’m sure you’ll agree they were all fantastic. Well done everyone!

 

The children had a wonderful time at their Christmas party on Tuesday. They were very excited to receive a special visit from Father Christmas.

Collins Hub

On the last day, I handed out the children’s log-in details for the Collins Hub where you can find their previous reading books. I have also uploaded some new reading books if you wish to read over the Christmas holidays.

 

Thank you also for the very generous gifts, cards and words that we have received- they are truly appreciated!

We have had a very busy and enjoyable week in Year 1! The children enjoyed their Christmas dinner followed by a movie with the whole school. They all looked amazing in their Christmas jumpers and festive wear.

Collins Hub

Reading books are now available to read on the Collins Hub. I have stuck in the children’s new log-in details into the front of their reading logs. All the books that the children have previously read this term have been uploaded.

Hello all,

This week, the children have enjoyed learning about 2D and 3D Shapes.

Next week we will begin a new topic based on place value to 20.

In English, the children have worked really hard writing their own story based on the book ‘I Want My Hat Back.’

Next week, the children will finish these stories.

Rehearsals

We will continue rehearsing for The Christmas Production of ‘The Angel Express’ next week and the children will be making brochures for the audience.

 

Costumes

If your child is an angel in the Christmas Production, we would be grateful if you could provide:

•          White or black trousers or leggings

•          A white top

 

Please send all costume items in a named bag by Wednesday 11th December.
