I hope you had a lovely Easter!
It was wonderful to welcome the children back and hear all
about their Easter holidays. This week we finished our unit based on the book ‘Hello
Mr Postmouse.’ The children planned and wrote a letter to a character in the
book.
In Maths the children began their new topic based on
length and height. During the week they compared lengths and heights, measured
objects using cubes and then measured the length of objects in Centimetres.
In PSHE, the children thought about what a family is and
why their family is special. They then drew and labelled the members of their family.
In ICT, the children learnt how to use a search engine to
find information.
Next week
English- The children will begin their non-fiction
topic which focuses on non-chronological reports.
Science- The children will be planting beans.
History- Understanding what a monarch is and where
monarchs live.
