In Maths, the children began an exciting new topic all
about money. They were introduced to different coins and learned to recognise
their values. Next week, we’ll move on to exploring notes and how to count
coins – a great opportunity to practise real-life skills!
In English, the children completed their brilliant “How
to be a Dog, Cat or Rabbit” guidebooks. They worked so hard on their writing,
and I was incredibly impressed by their creativity, effort and final results –
well done, everyone!
In RE, we listened to the story of The Prodigal Son and
reflected on the theme of forgiveness. The children thought carefully about
times they have said sorry and experienced forgiveness.
In Computing, the children enjoyed using the Chromebooks
to explore the keyboard. They learned how to type their names, use capital
letters, add spaces between words and even how to delete mistakes.
Next week:
Maths- The children will continue learning to recognise
notes and count coins
English- The children will begin a new unit of work based
on the book ‘Iggy Peck, Architect’ by Andrea Beaty and David Roberts
Geography- The children will be finding out what Shanghai
is like.

tool bar.
