Good afternoon,
We have had a very busy week
and the children have worked so hard. Well done everyone!
On Monday, the children attended
an assembly where they heard about the Book Fair that will be visiting the
school at the end of next week. They also found out about the Book Fair
competition; entry forms were handed out to the children who wanted to participate
and these need to be returned to school by Tuesday 1st October.
In English, the children
made ‘lost’ posters to help find Beegu. They also pretended to be Beegu and
wrote speech bubbles about what their experience on planet Earth was like. They
continued with their daily Phonics lesson and read in a group with an adult.
In RE, the children began
learning about Harvest Festival. They went on to draw and write about things in
their lives that they are thankful for.
In Science, the children
were learning about the parts of the body. They worked together to label
individual parts of the body.
In PSHE, the children thought
about the things they need to do which will help them learn well e.g. looking,
listening etc.
Next Week:
English- The children will be working from the book ‘The Tiger Who Came to Tea’ by Judith Kerr to write captions, labels, lists and make tea party invitations. The children will also begin daily handwriting lessons.

ordering objects and numbers and learn how to use a number line.
