Hello everyone, we have had a very busy but fun week. On Tuesday, the children enjoyed visiting other classes for friendship groups and today they watched the Year 5 assembly.

In phonics this week the children reviewed the Phase 5 graphemes ay, ou, oy and ea. They also revised the tricky words all, are, I, of, one, here and today.

Next Week

English

The children will be writing about characters from the book Farmer Duck. They will be forming sentences and concentrating on the correct punctuation.

Maths

The children will be counting backwards within 10.

Science

The children will be investigating if the oldest children in the class are the tallest.

Also, we will be focusing on the changes to the weather, the environment and wildlife in the season of Autumn.

Art

Creating a firework picture.

PHSE

The children will be learning about the rights and responsibilities when being a member of a class. They will write and draw a picture of themselves learning well with their friends

Notes

Please ensure that all belongings are named clearly. The children have begun changing into their PE kits and many items of their school uniform were unnamed.

I look forward to seeing you all next week for parents' consultations. Please make sure you have made an appointment.

We hope you have a lovely weekend.
