Good evening,

 

The children have had a fun week practising their dances and songs for the Christmas performance. They are very excited to perform to an audience!

 

In English, the children finished their non-fiction unit based on the book ‘Plenty of love to go around’. They wrote labels, lists, captions and explored the features of non-fiction books. In Phonics, the children have been reviewing the Phase 5 graphemes and tricky words they have learnt so far during this half term.

 

NEXT WEEK

English: The children will begin their new unit based on the book ‘The Jolly Christmas Postman’ by Janet & Allan Ahlberg.

 

Maths: The children will continue to focus on addition and number bonds to 10.

 

RE: The children will be writing about Hannukah.

Rehearsals

We will continue rehearsing for The Christmas Production ‘Lights, Camel, Action!’ next week and the children will be making brochures for the audience.

 

Costumes

If your child is a shepherd in the Christmas Production, we would be grateful if you could provide:

          White trousers or leggings

          A white top

If your child is a Backing Singer in the Christmas Production, we would be grateful if you could provide:

          A party outfit (it can be Christmas themed, glittery or colourful)

 

If your child is a Nazareth Townsperson in the Christmas Production, we would be grateful if you could provide:

          School trousers or skirt

          A checked shirt or top

Please send all costume items in a named bag no later than Wednesday 6th December.
