What a fantastic week we've
had in Year 1!
The children were absolutely
amazing in their class assembly today – I was incredibly proud of each and
every one of them. Their confidence and enthusiasm really shone through!
It was also lovely to see so
many of you during our parent consultations. The children have worked so hard
this year, and it was a pleasure to share their progress and celebrate all
they've achieved.
We also had a wonderful time
visiting the Year 6 'Apprentice' event – the children thoroughly enjoyed it. I
hope you enjoy looking through the photos below.
Next week:
We were unable to complete the spelling test today as
planned. I apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. The children will
instead take their test on Monday. This will be the children’s last spelling
test for the term.
Maths- The children will start a new topic based on time.
They will learn about before and after, days of the week, months of the year as
well as telling the time to the hour and half of the hour.
English- The children will use a range of adjectives to
describe, they will use conjunctions to compare, use command sentences to give
advice and write a character description.
Geography- The children will continue to find out about
what Shanghai is like
PSHE- Various transition activities
